Libera Meet & Greet - The Block

October 23 - The boys of Libera held a Meet & Greet session at SM City North Edsa - The Block at around 4PM as part of their Philippine visit to promote their latest album, "Libera: The Christmas Album."

Fans from all over the Metro gathered at the heart of Quezon City to see the boys of Libera live and to have their albums signed. This is the second part of their Philippine tour, which happened after their live guesting in the noontime show, ASAP Rocks wherein they performed one of the songs from their Christmas Album, "Carol of the bells."

THE VENUE

Astroplus' booth was located just outside the venue. They sell Libera albums under PolyEast records such as Eternal, New Dawn, Peace, Angel Voices DVD, and Libera's latest album, The Christmas album. One purchase of any album is equivalent to one meet & greet pass.

This Libera Meet & Greet also gave way for fans to meet each other. It was really great meeting everyone there that I have only known in Facebook. I really had a great time with them, even before the event started.
Here are some of the people that I have met earlier.
Me with ate Thelma

Krizzle, Rozeann, Rozelle, and Princess.

This is me in front of the stage :)

Me together with Gerson (red) and John Dale (black).

Now, take a look at the fans, waiting for Libera.

And then, around 4:20, LIBERA ARRIVED AT THE BLOCK. Here are a FEW photos from the meet & greet. We will be uploading more photos and videos tomorrow at https://www.facebook.com/liberaph

The Madine brothers

Henry Barrington

We gave Josh an advance present for his birthday on Wednesday. I'm glad he liked it. An LPH 2012 calendar with greetings at the back. We wrote our greetings for him.

Cassius gave me his famous "Meow." You may see it on the video that we will upload soon.
Also, we were shouting "Happy birthday Josh!" from time to time and that made him smile and wave at us. What a feeling!
We also gave our screams to Matthew Madine and also to the new members of Libera. They're just so adorable and cute, all of them!

Also during the meet & greet we were also able to have a small chit-chat with the director, Robert Prizeman, and the old Libera members who came with them to assist the younger boys, Sam Coates, Steven Geraghty and Ben Crawley. They were having coffee in a shop at the second floor so we went up to give Mr. Prizeman a gift. Unfortunately we weren't able to have a picture with him because he said, "I don't do pictures, I;m ugly." Hahahahaha... "That's not true, sir. " I said.

The meet & greet ended with Ralph Skan saying a small speech and he also invited the fans to watch them in concert at PICC on Tuesday. And then, after a few moments, they left the block.

Thanks to Gerson for these amazing drawings! I really like it! I showed it to Mr. Prizeman, to Josh and to Jonathan, and also to the one who brought Libera here. I forgot his name.

Here are my signed items.

Thank you Libera 360 for this amazing shirt!

We will be updating you more, tomorrow. Also on Tuesday, after their concert in PICC. Tickets are still available at TicketWorld.

Promote Libera's upcoming concert

October 16, 2011

Dear Sir/Ma'am,

The distinctive sound of Libera has travelled the world in the last few years. The group's albums have topped both mainstream and classical charts in many countries, and their recordings hold their place in top-tens alongside major artists like Bocelli.

The boys who make up the vocal band Libera have been described as “normal” and “ordinary”. However, as their recordings and performances demonstrate, the music they produce is truly extraordinary. With shimmering, mystical chords and ecstatic harmonies, they are unlike any other group you have ever heard. These are truly sounds to lift the soul. Celestial sounds for a new time.

The singers of Libera who are aged seven to sixteen attend many different local schools in South London and come from a variety of backgrounds. Although they are boys and they sing, they do not think of themselves as choirboys, but rather as an alternative kind of boy band.

While the unique sound of Libera may be impossible to pigeonhole, its universal appeal has endeared the group to fans all over the world, particularly in the US, the UK, the Philippines, South Korea and Japan, where their CDs top the mainstream and classical charts and where they pack concert halls appearing in their trademark flowing white robes on imaginatively lit stages.

Filipino Libera fans have had their fingers crossed for almost a year. And finally, the long-wait is over!

Libera will be coming back to the Philippines to do another series of concerts. This is to promote their latest album, "The Christmas Album" under PolyEast Record and internationally license by EMI. It features the songs, "Joy to the world," "O holy night," "The first nowell," and many more.
In line with this, we are inviting you and your colleagues to witness this once in a lifetime Christmas experience.

Philippine Entertainment Portal: "Libera: The Christmas Concert of the Year to be staged at the PICC Plenary Hall on October 25"

Due to popular demand, Libera is coming back to Manila for a Christmas concert. The world-renowned vocal band will be performing this October at the PICC.

The world's chart-topping London boys choir will be singing songs from their new record titled The Christmas Album. Libera is set to astound Filipino audiences by singing yuletide carols like "Joy To The World," "O, Holy Night," "White Christmas," and "The First Noel." The album will be released worldwide this October.

The concert is in celebration of the PHL-UK Friendship Week and for the benefit of the British Alumni Association's (BAA) Foundation for Disadvantaged Children and the Children's Hour, in cooperation with the British Embassy Manila, British Chamber of Commerce Philippines, The British Council, EMI and PolyEast Records.

The distinct sound of Libera comes from the blending of voices of its members with some as young as seven. Their heavenly music varies from classical pieces of Beethoven, Debussy, Pachelbel, and other masters to Gregorian chants and Latin rite liturgies. Among the group's most popular renditions include "Always With You," "Far Away," "Going Home," "How Can I Keep from Singing," "Sing Forever," "Ave Maria," "Sanctus" and "Adoramus," among others.

Libera is nothing like any other boy band in the music scene today. The chart-topping London boys choir is recognized around the world and their ethereal music is praised for sounding classic and modern at the same time.

Libera went to the Philippines for the first time last October 2009 and performed sold-out concerts in Manila and Cebu.  Libera's repertoire included "Orinoco Flow" by Enya, in reference to the island of Cebu, and "Bayan Ko," the unofficial anthem of the EDSA Revolution, which got the boys a standing ovation and left audiences amazed and mystified by their divine voices.

Libera, The Christmas Concert of the Year will be staged on October 25 at the PICC Plenary Hall. Tickets are priced at P1000, P2000, P2500, P4000, P5000, and P7000.

All tickets are available at all TicketWorld outlets, selected National Bookstore branches, Robinsons Department Store (Galleria, Malate, Metro East, Festival Mall & Starmill Pampanga), and Ayala Center (Greenbelt 1, Glorietta 4, and Trinoma Mall Cinema Booths) and TicketWorld Office at 6793 Ayala Avenue, Suite 701 V. Madrigal Building, Makati City.  To book, call Tel. No. 891-9999, or visit TicketWorld's website www.ticketworld.com.ph. Libera Christmas Album

Libera 360 already posted details about the upcoming Christmas Album of Libera. "The Philippines can consider itself lucky enough because Libera is actually launching the album with a series of concerts in Manila and Cebu." -it says on their website. Lucky us, indeed.
I am just a little bit confused on what they said. According to them, "The cover of the new Libera Christmas Album set to be released tentatively on September 26 in the Philippines." So does that mean that the image below is not yet official? You may post your comments HERE.
